Banking services to help you stay at home and the preventative measures for the Coronavirus (for non-customers also)

16 Mar, 2020

We would like to inform you that during the Coronavirus pandemic and the preventative measures that are taken for everyone’s wellbeing, we are trying to make some things easier for you. With these measures it means that you do not have to visit the Bank, unless necessary, since many things will be covered by current services we have in place.

If you are an individual and you would like to open a bank account, you don’t have to come to the Bank and we suggest that you do so with the Ancoria Bank Create mobile app. With this method, everything is done electronically and you receive your debit card in the post. The Bank may request more information and documents for ‘know your customer’ purposes on the phone and your application to open a bank account must be approved by the Bank.

Additionally, since 13 March, Ancoria Bank’s customers can withdraw cash with their Ancoria Bank Debit Card from any ATM of any bank in Cyprus as well as the Euronet ATMs, for no extra charge until further notice.

Nevertheless, the Bank continues to encourage cashless transactions and urges its customers to use their Ancoria Bank Debit Card or myAncoria app. myAncoria is accessible from mobile phone, personal computer and tablet and offers online banking services such as money transfers, monitoring transactions and budgeting.

The Bank’s Banking Centres will continue operating as usual and the maximum number of customers inside the Banking Centre at the same time is five in Nicosia and Limassol and four in Larnaca.

Also, the Bank’s Head Office and the Banking Cenrtres in Nicosia and Larnaca have been disinfected and today it will be done in Limassol’s Banking Centre. The disinfection is done with non-toxic disinfectant and it will be repeated at regular intervals.

We would like to assure you that the Bank is following all the necessary preventative measures and direction as directed by the Government, Ministry of Health and World Health Organisation, to prevent the spread of the virus at its premises and especially for the safety of its staff and customers.

Lastly, you are also reminded to be extremely careful from fraudsters who may take advantage of the current circumstances and try to deceive you for personal gain. If you have any reason to believe that anyone has tried to obtain your banking details, please call us at 8000 0050 or +357 22 849000 if you are calling from abroad.
