The Bank invites applications from aspiring professionals for the position of PMO Officer at its Head Offices in Nicosia.
Main duties and responsibilities
A. As PMO
- Setting the Bank’s Project Management methodology and standards
- Serving as the official source for project templates and other project aids
- Maintaining a projects’ master schedule, including critical milestones
- Reporting to the Executive Committee on projects’ status
- Warning the Executive Committee for projects at risk, and providing recommendations
- Performing capacity planning, mainly with IT, and with other departments, so that the Bank makes optimal use of its resources
- Regularly monitoring and measuring project performance
- Mentoring and training project teams
- Publishing and maintaining a “Lessons Learned” database
- Maintaining the PMO folder in the Bank’s document management system
B. As Project Manager
- Defining project objectives, project scope, roles, and responsibilities
- Defining resource requirements, and managing resource availability and allocation, both internally and with third parties
- Setting a budget, based on requirements, and tracking costs to deliver the project on budget
- Preparing a detailed project plan to schedule key project milestones, work streams, and activities
- Managing delivery of the project according to the plan
- Tracking the project’s progress, and providing regular status reports to the project team and to key stakeholders
- Managing and adjusting for any changes in project scope, schedule and / or budget
- Identifying and mitigating potential risks
- Managing the relationship and communication with the Project Owner/Business Area Manager and all stakeholders, ensuring that the project is delivered to their satisfaction
Requirements
- University Degree in Computer Science, Project Management, Economics or any other related discipline, and
- Master’s Degree in Project Management, Business, Economics or any other related discipline
- At least 5 years of related experience
- A Project Management Professional Qualification (e.g. PMP, Prince2) is considered an advantage
