The Bank invites applications from aspiring professionals for the position of Head Debt Recovery Unit at its Head Offices in Nicosia.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Managing the Bank’s debt recovery process, ensuring the timely and effective collection of outstanding debts
- Conducting thorough assessments of customers’ financial situations to determine the most appropriate debt recovery approach
- Negotiating repayment plans and settlements with debtors considering their financial capabilities
- Monitoring the debt recovery process, documenting communication and actions taken
- Collaborate with internal and external legal teams to resolve complex debt recovery cases
- Provide regular reports and updates on debt recovery performance to senior management
- Preparation of required reports to the Central Bank of Cyprus
- Undertaking any other duties as assigned by the management
Requirements
- University Degree in Economics, Accounting & Finance, or any other related discipline and/or
- Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related subject is considered an advantage
- Holder of a Professional Accounting Qualification such as Chartered Accountant (ACA), Certified Accountant (ACCA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is considered an advantage
- 10+ years of relevant experience in a Debt Recovery Unit with at least 5 years in the handling of corporate accounts
- In-depth knowledge of banking regulations and legal requirements related to debt recovery
