ESG Risk Analyst

The Bank invites applications from aspiring professionals for the position of ESG Risk Analyst at its Head Offices in Nicosia.

 

Main duties and responsibilities

1. Risk Management Framework

  • Embed ESG in the Risk Appetite of the Bank
  • Ensure ESG principles are included in relevant risk policies
  • Assist in the ESG materiality risk assessment and quantification
  • Include ESG considerations in stress tests

2. Data Collection & Management

  • Work with ESG stakeholders to identify data gaps, accuracy issues, and start process(es) to fill gaps
  • Define documents, data owners, processes, data controls, and accuracy protocols for all metrics
  • Ensure the extraction, collection, measurement, organization, curation, and analysis of ESG data to meet global ESG reporting and communication needs
  • Support the development and tracking of the Bank’s ESG goals and targets

3. Communication, Disclosure, & Reporting

  • Drive Ancoria Bank’s periodic ESG Reporting, and Support ESG framework alignment and disclosure, in accordance with the applicable regulations and standards
  • Facilitate the calculation of the Bank’s financed emissions and other relevant metrics
  • Serve as a key contact for ESG matters

4. Strategy & Implementation

  • Assist in the development and implementation of the Bank’s ESG strategy
  • Maintain deep understanding of ESG landscape, reporting, and disclosure trends of reporting frameworks, and standards, legislation, and best practices
  • Guarantee integration of / with ESG in the different departments
  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations and keeps up to date with changing regulations and policies

Requirements

  • University Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Economics, Finance or Business Administration
  • Master’s Degree in sustainable finance, ESG investing, or any other relevant subject if not relevant University Degree
  • Relevant Professional Certifications and / or training will be considered an advantage
  • Previous experience in an ESG related role, preferably in the banking or financial services industry, or advisory with banking industry exposure, will be considered as an advantage
