The Bank invites applications from aspiring professionals for the position of Database Administrator at its Head Offices in Nicosia.
Main duties and responsibilities
In this role, you will have a tremendous opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, which provides the ability to work with innovative and multi-vendor technologies to:
- Day-to-day support, patch, monitor, troubleshoot and administer different technologies: Oracle, SQL Server, Mariadb, PostgreSQL
- Design, install, configure and lead the creation of database systems of high availability and quality
- Monitor systems’ health and performance by identifying and resolving performance issues and conducting root cause analysis
- Implement, maintain, and test backup & recovery strategies
- Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards
- Implement and enforce database security best practices
- Ensure high levels of performance and availability
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or any other related discipline
- 2 years of relevant working experience as Oracle or SQL Server Database administrator
- Windows/Linux/Unix administration skills
- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for Oracle or SQL server: Oracle Dataguard,RAC, SQL AlwaysOn
- Experience with Storage Systems will be considered an advantage
- Knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies will be considered an advantage
